![]() G Hub is the Dark Souls of companion software, but without the thrill of actually winning. It's like the developers intentionally hid the functionality of the software. If any of these issues are fixable, there are no instructions on how to do so. You can't search for a command among all categories so you have to hope the vaguely-worded category you're in is the one you're looking for (what does "System" mean? Windows? G Hub? Hardware?).Macros are profile-bound and so you have to remake the macro for every single profile if you want it to be on all of them.An unnecessary click-and-drag keymap system.Hidden menus (did you know the "default" word on the launch page is actually clickable, so you can see the profile for every app?).The user interface is grotesquely unintuitive. I also don't actually know how to work on them because there are no instructions on how to do so. You also can't work on mouse-stored profiles without completely disabling software profiles. I can't rebind left click to something else in G Shift because then I can no longer modify anything in G Shift. ![]() You also can't configure G Shift without being in G Shift. I can't configure a profile without switching to that profile, which means I can't make certain adjustments that make sense in app but are non-functional on the desktop. You can't work on a profile without switching to it. That is an enormous waste of time that I'm not willing to deal with. This means that every new app/game that gets installed has to be reconfigured keymap by keymap to the desktop default, and the DPI has to be reconfigured (which is especially annoying when you're used to a different DPI). Hire developers who actually use your product! The fact that every new app defaults to the factory configuration is such a glaring oversight that I am convinced the G Hub designers have never actually used G Hub. ![]() It got the point where I no longer changed the steering range value, because I was too afraid when I went back to change the steering range (optimal range differs depending on the type of car), it wouldnt work. Automatic profile switching and it's all-or-nothing model.Įither you have automatic profile switching for every single app using the factory configuration instead of the "default/desktop" one, or you can't switch profiles at all. I used to have the G29 racing wheel, and every single time I opened G Hub thered be an issue. Here are my three biggest gripes with G Hub. I'm returning the mouse - which is perfectly fine - because the companion software is so atrocious that instead of supplementing the mouse's functionality, it makes it worse. I'm on my second mouse with Logitech, and G Hub is just awful.
